Join a small group of like-minded people for a fun and informative guided walk through the beautiful forests and landscapes of East Sussex. A guided foraging walk will open your eyes to the abundance of wild food all around us.
I will teach you how to forage safely as well as show you ways to create your own delicious meals using foraged ingredients (yes, recipes!) You will be amazed to discover how many seemingly humble plants (that you may pass every day!) can be used for food or even medicine.
Walks are scheduled for all the following dates this Autumn.
We'll be on the look out for such delicious gourmet mushrooms as porcini (boletes), parasol mushrooms and Chicken in the Woods.
Autumn is the perfect time for foraging with mushrooms popping up all over the forest and fields!

1st November | 8th November | 15th November
Tickets are a very reasonable £35 - well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome; children under 12 go free.

Testimonials
"I love Henrietta’s foraging walks! Not only do we get to nibble things along the way and learn what’s free and good to eat, we get interesting stories about what our wonderful fields and hedgerows can offer us… whether it’s long forgotten recipes or traditional herbal remedies.. I always leave feeling inspired by the British countryside with its marvellous range of edibles, right there for us.. berries, mushrooms, leaves, flowers… it’s definitely changed the way I go for walks now! And I LOVE that I can go out picking certain things confidently, knowing I will be eating them that night! Thanks Henri, keep up the good work."

"Henrietta is such an inspiration. Her love of foraging and nature is infectious. She is generous in her willingness to share the knowledge she has accumulated over decades, and makes it fun at the same time. Her mind is as open as her heart. She’s also a fabulous and inventive cook. Anyone lucky enough to be taught by Henrietta will come away so excited about the bounty in our fields and hedgerows that they can’t fail to become addicted to foraging themselves."

"Henrietta brings a delicate heady combination of thoroughness, precision, knowledge humour and curiosity which makes her foraging adventures a real joy. Whenever I go on one of Henrietta's guided walks, I know I'll learn loads, laugh loads, and meet a lovely bunch of people. The walks always finish with insanely delicious and carefully prepared foraged titbits. Don't gorge beforehand - leave enough tummy room for a special little foraged something!"

"We had such a lovely morning walking with Henri and talking about all the fungi. Henri was so knowledgeable and excited about everything we found. She had even cooked up a beef steak mushroom that she'd found the day before so we could see it on the tree - and then try it ourselves at the same time. Very cool! Walked away feeling much more confident after such a wholesome morning. Would love to do it all over again! "
